Job Role: Used Car Sales Manager

Dealership Opening Hours on a rota basis
To develop and agree sales plans and budgets, including used cars - accessories, overheads and all related items, to achieve marketing, sales and financial targets.
To organise, direct and control the activities of Sales staff and administrative support to achieve plans and budgets, ensuring optimum use of all material, financial and personnel resources.
To contribute to the development of all operating and administrative policies and procedures to ensure the achievement of all tasks smoothly and in a timely manner.
Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of Sales staff to ensure maximum direct selling time; effective handling of all sales activities.
Create and agree motivational commission plans for Sales staff to ensure achievement of sales targets.
Provide guidance and training to sales people to improve their job performance.
Through both sales staff and yourself to ensure achievement of used car sales in line with the calendarised targets/budgets.
To ensure achievement of maximum gross profit per unit (including accessories) as per policy.
To maximise the sale of Audi Approved Accessories.
Responsible for Used car valuations, and purchases of any vehicles, and in your absence your deputy will be the General Manager.
Vehicle Presentation: to ensure the proper presentation and display of all used vehicles at all times.
Sales meetings; to carry out a minimum of one formal sales meeting per week (in conjunction with the General Sales Manager) with all Sales staff to ensure motivation, performance, improvement and accurate sales forecasts.
Must have proven Sales manager experience within the automotive industry.
Experience of successfully leading and motivating a sales team and support functions essential.
Previous experience of a sales management role within the VAG brand would be highly advantageous, but not essential.

Must possess a proven track record of ensuring the provision of first class service to our customers at all time.
Previous experience of dealing with Mystery Shops and Customer Satisfaction scores essential.
